“We are doing more than building a road and parking lot!
Mission Upgrade will allow you the opportunity to participate in creating more room for ministry at The Ark. Together we have the awesome privilege of making an eternal impact in the lives of men, women and children throughout Montgomery County.” -Alan Clayton, Senior Pastor
Mission Upgrade is our opportunity to take advantage of what the Lord has given us by increasing His influence in the lives of everyone in Conroe and the surrounding areas. The purpose of this campaign is to encourage people to willingly grow in the grace of giving. God can use us to accomplish His will for His church and to meet the needs of our community and future generations for Christ. Mission Upgrade will greatly enhance our ability to reach and minister to people in our area, and it is a way for us to provide funds for needed improvements. The upgrades included in the project are: Purchase 8.5 acres of land
Build a new 500 space parking lot
Build a new drive with access to Gladstell Rd.
Purchase a new LED sign
Purchase additional golf carts
Build new storage for the First Touch golf carts
Paint the exterior and interior of the building
Install new carpet
What is Mission Upgrade?
Be praying to know and do God’s will concerning your contribution to this campaign. Spend time in prayer and meditation on God’s Word as you seek to discover His will. The amount He leads you to give will be the right amount. It is our prayer that each individual grows spiritually through this project and sees Mission Upgrade as a tool for His ministry. What can I do?
Why should I give? God’s love motivated Him to give. In the same way, we should be motivated by love in giving. “For God so loved the world that He gave…” John 3:16
How much should I give? The Bible says, “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord, your God, which He has given you.” (Deuteronomy 16:17.) Pray daily and allow God to open your heart and direct you regarding your commitment. Through prayer and personal assessment, you will know what to give. Your gift, whatever the amount, should be over and above your normal tithe. To split our current giving between the current operating expenses and Mission Upgrade would not be beneficial and could hinder our ability to minister in the present.
How do I give? There are three ways to give:
First, on March 1st, each family will be asked to bring a First Fruits Offering as we celebrate what God has done and continues to do throughout our church. Ask God for creative ways to increase your gift, and involve your whole family in raising a specific amount for your First Fruits offering. Second, you can also make a commitment to give. The giving period for Mission Upgrade will last for two years beginning on March 1, 2015. You can give far more when it is spread out over time, and you may choose to give weekly, monthly or annually. Pray and select the best giving schedule for you and your family. Third, you can make the church a beneficiary in your will. There are many tools available that can benefit the church and leave an inheritance for your heirs at the same time. We can put you in contact with professionals in this area who can help you as you plan.
How long do I give? You will receive a commitment card to fill out the amount you intend to give over the two-year period. You may give weekly, monthly, annually or in a lump sum. Most people prefer a system of regular weekly giving; however, you should make your decision based on God’s will and the best method for you.
What about my regular giving? Your commitment to Mission Upgrade should be an amount God leads you to give over and above your regular tithe and offerings. So that day-to-day church operations will be unaffected, we must stay committed to our regular giving, in order to maintain the operating budget.
